Yala Peak Climbing

Yala Peak Climbing is the well known trekking peak in Langtang region in the north of Kathmandu valley. Placed at the height of 5,550m Yala peak is classified as an easy climbing peak suited for with good physical fitness.We will drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche or Syabru Besi and trek uphill for three days to the valley. We will make our base camp at the end of trial and a high camp a further half day trek beyond base camp in a meadow at an altitude of 4,800m. The last 400 m of the trek is on ice so we will carry ice axe, rope and crampons.
The trek on Yala peak is often done as the warm up for Naya kanga which is situated on the other side of the valley. From the summit grants us the extravagant vista of, Langtang Lirung( 7,235m) , Lenpo Gang(7,063m) , Dorje Lakpa(6,975m), Ganesh Himal, Naya kagna, Gangchempo(6,388m) and the mighty Shishapangma(8,020m) along with the hodgepodge of many others.

Day to Day itinerary
Day 01:Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1345m).we will be meet and transfer to hotel and a short briefing about the trekking as well as introduce with Trekking guide after refreshment.
Day 02:Drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche (2020m) we head north out of Kathmandu driving through scenic foothills and ridgeline vistas to Dhunche. The first part of our drive upto Trishuli Bazaar is quite smooth.The path now moves along the gravel road.During the rainy season,the path is sometime blocked due to landslides. our drive from Kathamandu to the destination is to be made by either local bus or private land cruiser
Day 03:Trek to Syaphru gaon(2250m) The trekking is very relaxing through forests and terraced hill slopes. As we enter Syaphru, we descend to the ridgeline that separates the Langtang Khola from the Trisuli River. Syaphru is a beautiful village lingering out along the ridgeline. we will continue through the village to our campsite about fifteen minutes further than on the slopes below the village. The sunset is magnificent; brightly backlighting the houses perched on the ridgeline above. From here you can enjoy spectacular view of Lantang Lirung (7220m.) and Tibetan Himal ranges.
Day 04:Trek to Lama Hotel (2475m)The trail descends along the ridge on Syaphru main street and then drop to the Ghopche Khola and again descends to the Landslide Afterwards,we trek ascends smoothly to Rimche through Bamboo and at the end your trail is level to the Lama Hotel.En route we could see red pandas, wild monkeys and bear if we are lucky.
Day 05:Trek to Langtang village (3435m)As we continue climbing there are occasional glimpses of Langtang Lirung between the trees.At Ghora Tabela,the trail emerges from the forest. While walking here, we can catch a glimpse of white monkeys and local birds. Once there was a Tibetan immigration project here, but now it is a Nepalese army post though it has no permanent residents.The trail continues to climb smoothly and the valley widens,passing a few temporary settlement used by herders who bring their livestock to graze in the high pastures during the summer season. There is a monastery which we can visit shortly before inward at the village of Langtang,the headquarters of the Langtang National Park. The houses of Langtang and its neighboring villages are of the flat-roofed Tibetan style,surrounded by stone walls enclosing fields of buckwheat, potatoes, wheat, barley
Day 06:Trek to Kyangjin (3880m)The trail climbs gradually through small villages and yak pastures as the valley opens out further and the views become more wide. After crossing several small streams and moraines, the trail reaches the settlement at Kyangjin.There is a small monastery and a government-operated cheese factory.we will enter at Kyangjin by lunch time allowing time to acclimatize and explore the village. It is a vivid setting, with snow covered peaks surrounding us in all directions. At this point, we can enjoy the panoramic view of Dorje Lakpa, Langtang Ri, and Langtang Lirung.
Day 07:Rest day at Kyangjin Gompa and excursion around:This is day to rest and explore the village we can visit the monastery and the cheese factory, walk up the moraine to see the impressive ice faces and dropping glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyangjin Ri, directly behind the village,for a breath-taking panorama of the Langtang Himalaya.
Day 08: Trek to Yala Peak Base Camp (4800m)
Day 09: Yala Peak summit (5500m) Return to Kyangjing Gompa
Day 10: Trek to Lama Hotel From Kyangjin we retrace our route, following the Langtang Khola to Langtang village and on to Ghora Tabela.After lunch you continue the steep descent to Lama Hotel.
Day 11: Trek to Syabru Besi(1480m) The upper part of the trail is more beautiful for the panoramic view of mountains and green hill views.This path is broader and remains sunny through the different Shepra and Tamang villages. The first half part of the trail is gradually down and then the trail goes steeply descent to the Syabru Besi There was run a project called Chilime Power Plant
Day 12: Drive from Syabru Besi to Kathmandu by bus. It takes about nine hours to reach kathmandu.
Day 13: finial departure to airport for your onwards journey
