If you are searching for a tour company in Nepal, your search can stop here! My wife and I visited in February of 2017 and completed the Everest View Trek. Devi was amazing to work with......he was patient, responsive, and incredibly helpful for over 2 years as we communicated back and forth to plan our adventure. The trip was planned out flawlessly. From the pick up at the airport to the trek itself.....everything was taken care of and went very smoothly. Devi's hotel is very nice and is in the heart of Thamel. Thamel is a great place to be with plenty of shops, dining, and sight seeing....most everything is in walking distance! Devi was very welcoming and was there throughout our stay to help with anything that was needed.
Our Everest Panorama trek lasted 7 amazing days and was an adventure of a lifetime. Our guide, Kumar Khadka, was the best guide we could have possibly had. He made the trip even more special then it already was. Our trip started with a flight into Lukla on Goma Air. Devi, booked us on Goma Air which was an excellent choice in airline. For those of you that are nervous about the flight into Lukla, Goma air has new airplanes. We were very thankful that Devi used Goma air....especially when we saw some of the other airlines planes. (this alone would be a compelling reason to go with Nepal Eco Trekking) We felt completely safe during our flights!!!!! Also, do not hesitate to visit Nepal in February. It got a little chilly at night, but during the day we were in t-shirts. There are barely any crowds in February, which meant the flights weren't over booked, we had tea houses to ourselves, and the trails were empty. We had the whole park to ourselves. The skies were blue and we had mind numbing views of the Himalaya.
Kumar was AMAZING through out our trip. We had a ton of fun getting to know Kumar and he was very attentive throughout our entire trip. He showed us the sights, taught us some Nepali, and was always making sure we were comfortable. We saw other trekkers that had "guides" that would basically disappear once they reached their destination for the day. Kumar was attentive to us from the moment we got up to when we turned in for the night. The tea houses that we stayed in were all very nice. There are many teahouses along the trek, but I felt that we always stayed at the nicest ones. Also, Kumar's itinerary for the trek was great! Rather then stay in Phakding for the first night of the trek, we continued on to Benkar....which made the next day quite easier AND Benkar has beautiful views of the Mountains and River....which you don't have in Phakding. The trekking had a lot of ups and downs....but with focus and a good pace, the hiking was always enjoyable and never became strenuous.
Our porter, Mingma Sherpa was also great. Thank you Mingma for helping us with our trek!!! Mingma and Kumar worked together to make sure we had anything we needed in the tea houses and on the trek. They were a great team!
This was a trip of a lifetime that was made even more amazing by an incredible company, guide, and porter. There are thousands of guide companies in Nepal....If you are searching for a tour company.....your best choice will be to use Adventure Nepal Eco Treks (Devi) and Kumar!
We planned for this trip a year ago and was trying to google for a reliable agent. His email respond was prompt and complete which is why we chose Adventure Nepal Eco Treks over many others. As we were unfamiliar with the culture and environment, we had many questions. But kudos to Devi, he never hesitated to answer and clarified all our questions.
We had one of the most memorable trip and just catching a glimpse of the mighty Sagarmartha was an unforgettable experience. The expedition went very smoothly as per planned, aided by our experienced and friendly guide Kumar. From the start, he has been very helpful, always keeps a look out for us and ensure our stay is as comfortable as possible. He takes great photos as well and is a warm and funny guy. We thoroughly enjoyed his companionship and he must be one of the best guides here.
It was a very well-organized trip and we were even given the flexibility to customize it based on our needs. Thanks to our host Devi for his warm hospitality and dinner treat where we had a chance to sample his wife’s delicious home-cooked meal. The only regret I had was that our trip was too short. If we had another 1-2 days extra, we might have had the chance to trek all the way to Tengboche to visit the monastery.
But overall I would rate it a very successful and excellent trip. I’m glad that we had made the right choice and chosen Adventure Nepal Eco Treks. Thank you for the wonderful experience! See you again for ABC.
Following on from my trekking partner Cynthia's comments (written on 5th May), I couldn't agree more. The experience was amazing and truly memorable. Adventure Nepal Eco Treks surprised us with their professionalism all the way. From the first day when we went on a tour of Kathmandu up to the very last day when we extended our stay by 6 days to do our own thing and they still arranged for our airport transportation on our last day in Nepal. This was unexpected since it was our choice to extend our trip but they honoured their commitment in providing airport drop off. This just showed us how professional and caring they were as a company. Not to mention how our guide Kumar and porter Kurand made us feel welcomed in their country and looked after us to ensure we have an amazing time in Nepal.
From the 10 day programme, we actually trekked for 6-7 days of it, but I can assure you the other days were needed for our well deserved rest! The trek itself was challenging and great for anyone who wants to experience just a fraction of the intensity of doing an Everest Base Camp or Summit. The views were breathtaking and seeing the Everest mountain regions so close up was one of the highlights of the trip. This trek goes up to 3,890m (Tengboche) which can be tough due to the altitude, but as long as you take your time and climb up very, very, very slowly then it is achievable for most healthy average person. But I think the best part of the trip was the people of Nepal, who were truly humble and kind...something the western world can learn from!
Overall, I highly recommend Adventure Nepal Eco Treks and wouldn't hesitate to go with them again if I ever came back to Nepal. Thank you guys!!!
The reason why I chose to go to Nepal with Adventure Nepal Eco Treks out of the hundreds of trekking companies in Nepal was that this company had recieved nothing but excellent reviews on trip advisor. And now, having just come back from my trek to Tengboche with this company, I understand why. I really could not have asked for a more positive experience. From the very beginning stages of trying to arrange the trip via email/phone in Dubai to the drop off at the airport for our flight home we felt very well cared for. The logistics for the trek went off without a hitch, with nice clean places to stay and eat, competent people to assist us and transport arranged in a timely manner. But my favourite part of my experience with Adventure Nepal Eco Treks were the people we met. Devi Owner of the company, our guide Kumar and our porter Koran really made us feel like a part of the Nepali family. The warmth, friendship and laughter they shared with us I will cherish forever. If (or hopefully when) I do return to Nepal, I would definitely go again with Adventure Nepal Eco Treks. Again, a big thank you to all the hardworking people at Adventure Nepal Eco Treks who made our trip so memorable!
Myself and my eldest son fulfilled a lifetime ambition by trekking to Mount Everest in April 2015.After a lot of research we signed up with Adventure Nepal Eco Treks and were not disappointed. The company is owned by Devi Baral and from our first contact until the end of our trip our experience was fantastic.Everything was taken care of for us with the minimum of fuss and any query was sorted out quickly and efficiently. Devi had just opened a small hotel in Thamel Kathmandu to facilitate his clients. The hotel was very clean with great food and good showers (a necessary luxury) and very central to all Kathmandu Attractions. Night or day Devi was on hand to help us and even came with me to a cash point that had kept my card. He rang a few numbers, got cross and within an hour i had my card returned. I will review our trip in a further review but i can easily recommend Adventure Nepal Eco Treks to all. We intend to return to this beautiful country again as a way of helping them rebuild after the Earthquake Tragedy. I will definitely use Devi and his company and i advise anyone thinking of trekking in Nepal to do the same. We were in Nepal from the 3rd - 21st April 2015.
