Gokyo valley trek is one of the usual paths for trekking in Khumbu Himalaya of Nepal. Gokyo lake track is located in the Everest region. Yearly thousand of adventure aspirant come here to explore this natural land. From Gokyo valley you can observe the scenic view of alluring mountains from north to south of Everest region. We fly to Hillary airport of Lukla from Kathmandu from where the actual adventure jump begins. You will walk downward by the Dudh Koshi valley in Sagarmatha national park which will eventually head you to Namche bazaar. Namche bazaar is admirable Sherpa settlement located below the Mt. Everest which is the trading capital of this region.
Trekking in Gokyo valley deluges you with this great opportunity to observe the Ngozumpa glacier which is biggest in Nepal’s Himalaya. Gokyo fifth lake track is known for the gigantic views of various mountains including Mt Everest (8,848m), Cho You (8,156m), Lhotse (8,501m), Makalu (8,470m) which is seen certainly from Gokyo RI above Gokyo Lake. The most fascinating benefit of trekking in this track is extreme view of huge ice range located between Cho You and Gyachung (2,922m) in Khumbu region. Gokyo is also known for the existence of high altitude lakes. This trekking track blows around admirable Gokyo village which is situated adjacent to the Khumbu.
Day 01: Kathmandu airport Transfer Hotel
From Tribhuban International Airport you will be transferred your hotel. In the afternoon time permit you will invite to our office for briefing about the each day program. Today you will receive your Sagarmatha National Park Permits and TIMS.
Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing
After having breakfast you explore in Kathmandu sightseeing which includes Pashupatinath Swoyambhunath and Bouddhanath.
Day 03: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla & Trek to Phadking (2650m)
Enjoy the most scenic 30minutes flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. As you reach Lukla start the Everest View Trek to Padding via Chaurikharka and Chilung. Overnight at Phakding (2640m).
Day 04: Trek from Phadking to Namche Bazaar (3435m)
Early in the morning after having breakfast trek to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar(3435m) via Jorasalle. From here trail slightly goes uphill to Sherpa capital Namche and you can see the first glance of Everest.
Day 05: Acclimatize at Namche Bazaar.
Today we may rest or hike through the village of Khunde and Khumjung. Khumjung is the largest village of Khumbu region. After having lunch we will hike back to Namche Bazaar.
Day 06: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Thame Village 3825m
Trek starts after breakfast in Namche and trails follows colorful prayer flags, with several shorten and Mani stones from Namche Gompa. Thame is a small monastery village, situated at the altitude of 3825m and the birth place of ten zing Norgay Sherpa first man to reach Everest summit with Edmund Hillary.
Day 07: Trek from Thame to Lung den (4500m)
After morning breakfast trail leads you to Lung den village, the village of Lung den is only one settlement before cross Renjola pass. Keep continue your journey up to Lung den village, the trail with Tibetan Yak caravans because it is trading route to Namche to Tibet. Overnight at Lung den.
Day 08: Trek from Lung den to Gokyo Lakes via (4500m) Renjo La Pass (5335m)
After having strong breakfast in Lung den. Trail slightly leads to Renjola pass and renjola pass is one of the easiest pass in the Khumbu Himalaya compare to others pass Chola and Congmala. Whole trail is zigzag with sandy ridges and arrive in Gokyo lakes overnight at guesthouse.
Day 09: Explore the Gokyo Lake.
You can trek to Gokyo Peak which start early in the morning. The summit offers the extravagant vista of Cho You, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu. While climbing down you can enjoy the view of Gokyo Lake. Overnight at teahouse.
Day 10: Trek from Gokyo valley to Dole (4200m)
After morning breakfast in Gokyo lakes, trail leads back to you Sherpa village of Dole via Village of Pangla,machhermo,Luza and Lhabarma. Overnight at Lodge
Day 11: Trek from Dole to Namche (3534m)
Morning breakfast in Dole say good bye to Gokyo valley and trail directly drops to Khumjung village to Namche via Sherpa settlement village of Sanasa
Day 12: Trek from Namche to Lukla (2850m)
The trail steeply goes down through Rhododendron and Pine forest to Jorasalle it will take about two hour and another 5 hour walk to Lukla via Monju, banker, Phakding, Ghats Khola, Chaurikharka, Chheplung and arrival in Lukla and overnight at Guest house.
Day 13: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu
Early morning joyful flight from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer your Hotel. During the day you will have rest after long journey in the Khumbu Himalaya and Evening fare well dinner with Nepali Family.
Day 14: Departure for your onward flight.
