Overview And Highlights

The trek from Shivalaya to Everest base camp via Lukla is hard slog and pretty sparse in the breathing views department but you will at least shake the crowds. The trek doesn’t follow valleys; it cuts across them, so day after day it is a tiring process of dropping down one side of a steep valley and climbing up the other. By the time you reach the base camp your ascents will total almost 9000m, the full height of Everest from sea level! Sherpa settlement of Khumbu region and many beautiful breathtaking Buddhist monasteries. Before reaching to Namche bazaar we get the privilege to cross various passes like Deorali (2,730m), Trakshindu (3,180m) Lamjura Bhanjyang (3,535m).After reaching to Namche bazaar you will have one day rest to adapt in the prevailing situation. After a one day rest you continue your trek to famous Tengboche monastery (3,870) which is the monastery situated at the highest altitude in the world. The aim of this trek 3870m from sea level. The scenery is surrounded by panoramic Himalayan range, has been called one of the most beautiful places in the world. The aim of this trek is to climb Kalapathar at 5550m, from where the southwest face of Everest can be clearly seen, also side trip to Everest Base Camp, which takes 6/7 hours round trips from Gorakshep. Then trek downhill to Lukla and 35 minutes flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.

Everest base camp trek cover low land from Jiri Shivalaya to highland Kalapathar (5545m). This is breathtaking walking trip in Everest Region. Trekker requires a good walking experience and a good physical health condition. This trek is very interesting walking with its panoramic view of Everest 8848m, Cho Oyu 8152m, Lhotse 8516m, Makalu 8463m and Ama Dablam 6456m. Through the famous the beginning of this trek retraces the route of the earliest Everest expeditions through beautiful Alpine scenery. Most people find the extra seven days truly delightful, as well as providing good insight into traditions and lifestyles Ethnic Group of Nepal.

Drive to Shivalaya via Jiri

Drive to Shivalaya via Jiri(1838m) From early in morning after having breakfast go to Old Bus Park and catch a bus for Jiri. Though situated 210km away from Kathmandu the bus requires 8 to 9 hours for Shivalaya. Overnight at Teahouse.

Trek to Bhandar

 today we will trek to Bhandar via Bharkaur, Mali Danda(2440m), Khimti valley Yelung Khola, Shivalaya, Deorali(2710m), Sangbadanda(2180m), Khasrubas(2330m) and Mahabir(2590m). The path is somewhere uphill wheres somewhere it is downhill. Overnight at tea house.

Trek to Sete

 walking from Bhandar the trail is downhill to the village of Doharpa and Baranda until crossing the steel bridge at Tharo Khola(1480m). Preceding our trek to the east bank of the river we will climb uphill towards Kinja and continue our trek to Sete. Overnight at teahouse.

Today we will trek from Sete to Junbesi (2700m). The path is scenic walking through the Rhododendron, Magnolia, Maple and Birch. This trail is also well known for spotting birds like sunbirds. The highest point of today’s trek is Lamjura Bhanjyang between Jiri. Passing through the small village of Tragdobuk (2830m). Continue our trek we will be at Junbesi. Overnight at teahouse.

Trek to Nhuntala

start to trek early in the morning cross Junbesi Khola and climb uphill. From the top one can witness the spectacular vista of Everest, Thamserku, Kantega and Mera Peak. After passing Ringmo Khola the trail climbs uphill to Ringmo Village. After Ringmo we will climb Trakshindu La Pass (2930m) a superb example of Sherpa architecture. Now we will trek downhill until we reach Nhuntala. Overnight at teahouse.

Trek to Bupsa

trek downhill to Dudh Koshi and cross the river using 110m long suspension bridge. We will continue our trek to Jubing (1680m), Khari Khola (2010m) until we reach Bupsa. Overnight at teahouse.

Trek to Chheplung

Starting with a gentle climb we pass to the village of Kharte from where we can witness the vista of Cho Oyu (8201m). we continue our climb until we reach Khari La Pass at an altitude of 2840m.walk downhill to the gorge og Paiya Khola after crossing the bridge over it we reach to the small settlement of Puiyan(2730m). After Puiyan the trail is zigzag and the trail offers the good view of Khumbu region and the trail descents to Surke (2290m). Preceding our walk further passing through Mani Walls we will reach the village of Chheplung. Overnight at teahouse.

Trek to Namche Bazaar

After leaving Chepplung we will continue of walk to Tharo Koshi River. After crossing the river the trail ascends to Ghat (2600m) and walk climp to Phakding. We climb over steep and stony rim towards Benkar (2630m). Continueing our trek we cross the Kyashar Khola River and climb for Monjo (2840m). Just away from Monjo we enter Sagarmatha National Park. From here after crossing few rivers and climbs we will reach Namche Bazaar (3440m). Namche Bazaar is the main trading center of this region with hotels, lodges and restaurants.

Today we will acclimatize at Namche Bazaar.

Today we may rest or hike through the village of Khunde and Khumjung. Khumjung is the largest village of Khumbu region. After having lunch we will hike back to Namche Bazaar.

Trek to Tengboche

We leave the village and climb in the top of the ridge to see the excellent vista of Thamserku, Kantega and Kusum Kangru. To the right of us is a steep cliff that forms DudhKoshi. As we make our way out we see Ama Dablam, Everest, Nuptse and Lhotse. After a slight descent the mountain path ends and we come through the fork that leads to Gokyo. Walking continuously and passing the villages of Trashinga and Phunki Tenga we climb to Tengboche. The first half of the climb is quite steep. Continuing our climb we come through the stone gate built by Lama which is the entrance gate to Tengboche. Tengboche has sufficient hotels and lodges. Tengboche is the important site to see the sunset on Everest and Ama Dablam. Overnight at guesthouse.

Trek to Dingboche

After having breakfast we leave for Dingboche via Deboche village, Minlinggo, Pangboche and Imjastse. Thoughout the trail we can see the spectacular vista of Ama Dablam, Island Peak, Kantega, Nuptse and Lhotse. Dingboche is a beautiful village enclosed by stone wall. Overnight at teahouse.

Today we acclimatize at Dingboche.

From Dingboche we can see some breathtaking views of North face of Ama Dablam and Lhotse-Nuptse ridge as we explore the valley that take us to Island peak. Another option can be hike to Nagarjun hill from where we can see the vista of Island peak with many others.

Trek to Lobuche

after having breakfast we continue today’s trek to Lobuche. After walking 40 minutes from Dingboche we arrive to Chorten Prayer Stupa. On looking down we see the village of Pheriche. The route offers the majestiv views of   Mt Tawache, Ama Dablam and Nuptse. Crossing the river of Khumbu glacier near Dukla we continue our trek for a while and have our lunch at Dukla. Preceding our walk we will arrive to the village of Lobuche. Overnight at teahouse.

Trek to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep

Following the rocky moraine path and watching icy glacial pond and icebergs below the Khumbu glacier a short downhill walk after the last rocky moraine dunes bring us to Gorakshep. Initially used as Everest base camp (new camp further up in the valley), Gorakshep is located below Kala Pathhar (5545m) and Mt Pumori. Now the trail continues through rocky path and Khumbu glacier. In the route the view of Nuptse, Lhotse and Khumbtse appear in front of us.

 early in the morning climb Kala Patthar and enjoy the spectacular view of sun rising. From Kala Pathar one can see Mt Everest, Mt Pumori, Lingtren, Khumbetse, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku along with many other. Climb downhill have lunch and trek to Pheriche. Pheriche is a small town where all the facilities of communication are available. Here we can find Himalayan Resque Association Aid.

Yes, you can get it in Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. As you arrive to airport fill the form and proceed to the visa line. You have to pay 30US$ for 15 days of visa from the day of issue, 50US$ for 30days and 150US$ for 90 days of tourist visa. For this you have to bring two passport size photos.

There are enough airline companies operating daily flights from Middle East of Kathmandu. Kathmandu only has got only international airport in Nepal.

 

For coming to Nepal you should have both medical and Rescue evacuation insurance. Yes you can get it here, but we recommend purchasing it in your country itself.

 

In Nepal it rains a lot between Junes to August. You too can enjoy great treks during this period of year in rain shadow region. But if you planning for more popular trek autumn through spring is the best time.

 

Nepal has modern banking facilities having branches of some international bank.  Almost all foreign currency along with credit card such as American Express, Visa and Master card are accepted. Nepal also has ATM facilities.

It depends; if you’re comparatively fit and enjoy walking then you will definitely find a trekking route to suite you. Obviously shorter trek are easier and longer ones require a better standard of fitness. If you want to go somewhere then we are ready to tailor the tour for you as you can choose the pace.

If you are in good physical condition then you do not require any hiking experience for short trekking. But if you are planning for the longer ones then you should do long day hikes at your home.

 

Completely, we assure the safety and security of the women travelling with us. We will give you a personal room on lodge and personal tent for camping while trekking.

 

Permit is not required for trekking in Everest, Annapurna, Langtang and some other regions. However, conservation permits or National park permits are required. There are few restricted trekking areas in Nepal where trekking permits are required.

 

All the meals are prepared with high standards of hygiene, fruit and vegetables are soaked in iodine before preparation. Most of lodges serve boiled and filter water which is safe. It is also possible to buy the bottle of mineral water in the trek.

 

All of our guides are trained with first aid and have basic idea about the physical problems that may arise during trekking. If an emergency occur then we will cover initial expenses of rescue operation as these expenses will need to be recovered from your insurance company. For minor cases there are health posts established by foreign doctors and many are staffed by overseas personnel.

 

You need to pay 20% of total price as advance deposit to conform reservation before arriving to Nepal. Rest of the payment can be paid after arrival day in Kathmandu Nepal

 

You can bring power bars, cereal bars and similar high energy foods, powder Gatorade is also recommended to fight dehydration.
