Helambu Trek

Helambu trek is one of the best treks in the Langtang region. Helambu trek offers us the grand view of magnificent Himalayas, majestic waterfalls, diverse range of flora and fauna, awe inspiring green valleys and vibrant difference between Hindu and Tibetan Buddhist culture. This trek mostly constitute of low altitude the highest altitude in this trek is Tharepati (3,480m).Helumbu trek offers you a chance to experience the Yolmo culture which is practiced in high mountains, meet Tamang and Sherpa who are known for their hospitality and friendly nature and forest consisting of rhododendron, oak and bamboo which makes Helambu trek the diverse trail that is nearest to Kathmandu valley. Regardless of its location so near to Kathmandu you will still experience the remoteness it will serve. Helumbu trek kick starts from Sundarijal which is situated one hour drive from Kathmandu. After one hour walk in Sundarijal region we will enter Shivapuri national park. Following the trail along Chisopani, Kutumsang, Thadepati and Sermathang the trek ultimately comes to an end at Melamchi pul Bazaar in the Helambu region. Melamchi is known for the grand water supply project which is supposed to quench thirst of Kathmandu folks thorough the series of tunnels. As we come to the end of the trip we will trek through some moving planned rice terrace in the slopes and few striking Buddhists monasteries.

Day to Day Itinerary
Day 01: From Tribhuban International Airport you will be transferred to your hotel room. In the afternoon you can roam around Thamel and we will invite you to our office for briefing about the each day program.
Day 02: Drive toSundarijal. From Sundarijal trekking uphill on the lipine forest and crossing Mulkharka we arrive at Chisapani(2,300m).from here the vista of mountain can be seen clearly.
Day 03: After having our breakfast we pass through Pati Bhanjyang, Chipling and forested ridge of Thodang Betini we finally halt it at Gul Bhanjyang(1,770m).
Day 04: Climbing downhill to Kutumsang we will show our permit to Langtang National Park office. Observing the breathtaking vista of Gosaikunda peak we stop the day’s walk at Tharepati(3,640m)
Day 05: After having our breakfast we will start to trek in east and descend rapidly in the ravine Sherpa village of Melamchi goan(2,530m).
Day 06: Continue the walk crossing Melamchi khola we ascend toTarke gyang(2,590m), which is the largest village in Helambu region.
Day 07: Passing through the Sherpa village we will be in Kakani and Thimbu. Now we will enter the rice growing valley of Melamchi and Indrawati. Our day’s walk come to an halt at Kiul(1,280m).
Day 08: After having breakfast we cross the suspension bridge over Talmarang Khola and reach to Pati Bhanjyang. Here, Helambu circuit is completed.
Day 09: Trek back to Kathmandu.
Day 10: Departure for your onward flight.
