Langtang Gosaikunda Trek renders you eye-catching landscape, affinity of Nepali Culture, distant valley trek to Langtang region, along with the high mountain lakes at Gosaikunda. Passing through the Trishuli River which lies at north of Kathmandu, you come across through Trishuli Bazaar and Dhunche to Syaphru besi a Sherpa village situated at the corner of the Langtang National Park. As you move back and forth along the east into the Langtang valley, passing through the river many times as you move up along a gorge-like lower portion of the valley you come across through oak and rhododendron forests and also you move along glacial moraine on the way to the Tamang village of Langtang. You begin your trek from Syaphru besi to Lama Hotel and then you swing to Kyangjin Gompa in three days of your trek take up to Kyangjin Gompa, you move for encircling visits such as Monastery, Cheese factory and Sherpa village. The holy lake Gosaikunda is divine among both the Hindus and the Buddhists. The lake is visited by thousands of visitors in the full- moon night in August every year. Langtang Valley is delightful valley in the world. You keep on walking through array of small village and trail of thick forest. The trek turns out into pleasing walk through Rhododendron and pine trees and there you will be able to see honey hunter animal, langur Monkey (Seto badar) and waterfalls and the trek continues to reach Gosaikunda. In the way you will come across through Lauribinayak. From here you will have spectacular view of Langtang Region.
Gosaikunda trek is situated in Langtang region to Gosaikunda; the sacred lake has acquired its reputation among both the Hindus and the Buddhists. Thousands of visitors visit the lake every year in the full- moon night in August. According to Hindu mythology- when the God jolted the primitive ocean to produce remedy of enduring life, the poison was also produced along with the remedy to protect the universe from this poison, Lord Shiva drank it. So, the throat of Lord Shiva is still blue because of the effect of the poison. To cool down his fiery throat, Lord Shiva hit his weapon into the rock creating three springs which finally resulted in the formation of beautiful lakes. Finally, Lord Shiva drank the water of the lakes and got relief from the pain. Hence, in this way, the lake Gosaikunda was formed.
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu airport and transfer your Hotel 1350m
From Tribhuban International Airport you will be transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon you will invite to visit our office for briefing about the each day program. Today you will receive your Langtang National park Permits and TIMS.
Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing
After having breakfast you will start sightseeing which includes Pashupatinath Swoyambhunath and Bhaktpur oldest city in Kathmandu valley
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Sayabrubesis (1440m) 8 Hour driving
Early morning after having breakfast transfer your Bus station to start your journey towards Sayabrubesis, along the bus journey you will drive through beautiful village and you will see snow Scapped Mountain along the langtang Himalaya and it will make your trekking become pleasant and touch your heart.
Day 04: Trek from Sayasbru besi to Lama Hotel (2480m)
The trail branches off sayabrubesis main road by a police post where you will need to register trekking permit and crosses a suspension bridge over the Bhotekoshi River. Turn right at the eastern end of the bridge and climb through the village of Old sayasbru to cross bridge to the south side of Langtang Khola. The trek become pleasant walk through tree where langur monkeys frolic, passing a bridge a small waterfall bhatties (village inns) beside the stream at Dovan(1680m) the trail then make steep uphill over rocky ridge to the easily missed junction, where the route from thulo sayasbru join from over. Long uphill forest past the waterfall and couples of lodge in pairo meaning of landside; 1800m to Bamboo a cluster hotel at 1930m. Beyond Bamboo the trail crosses Dangdung Khola then uphill to still suspension bridge over the langtang Khola. On the north bank of langtang Khola the route uphill alongside series of waterfalls and arrive in Changtang famous known as Lama Hotel (2480m) overnight here.
Day 05: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang3430m)
The trail continues to follow the Langtang khola, uphill steeply through a forest of hemlocks, maples and Rhododendron, past isolated lodges at Gumanchok (riverside) and ghunama to the famous lunch time spot of Ghoratabela (2970m). There are great views of langtang lirung from here, which you can admire as the army checks post, where you need to register your langtang trek permit. From Ghoratabela the trail uphill more gradually through U-shaped glacier valley to the villages of thangshyap, Gompa and finally langtang (3430m). The national park headquarter is here, along with a cooperative bakery, a dozen lodges and so many yaks and overnight here.
Day 06: Trek from Langtang to Kyangjin Gompa (3860m)
Trek from Langtang to Kyangjin Gompa it takes only the morning walking through tiny villages to uphill Kyangjin Gompa (3860m) where you will see joyful Buddhist monasteries, several accommodations and two great cheese factories (May to December). It worthily to spending two full days here to gratefully to appreciate the mountains scenery over the langtang Himalaya of Nepal.
Day 07: Acclimatization day in Kyangjin Gompa
From Kyangjin Gompa you can climb uphill to a viewpoint at 4300m on the glacier moraine to the north for superb views of langtang lirung. The most popular day kike to the Kyangjin RI viewpoint 4600m, while a tougher options is the climb to uphill Tsergo RI 4984m. Other popular long hike leads up the valley to the pastures around langshisa kharka for more spectacular mountains views of the Langtang Himalaya.
Day 08: Trek from Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel/Changtang (2480m)
The trail walk downhill to sayabrubesis via langtang, Ghoratabela on the same trail you will uphill before and trail follow the valley and connect the Gosaikunda Trek, take left branches at the junction just before Dovan and climb uphill to Thulo sayabrubesis. Overnight at here.
Day 09: Trek from Lama Hotel/Changtang to Thulo sayasbru village (2260)
Early in the morning after breakfast trail slightly goes pairo landslide and leads you to Thulo Sayasbru (2,260m). Thulo Sayasbru is a beautiful Sherpa and Tamang village from where you can observe the miraculous vista of Langtang Himal and Ganesh Himal and overnight here.
Day 10: Trek from Thulo sayasbru to Sing Gompa (3250m)
Morning breakfast in Thulo sayasbru village the trail slightly goes uphill through beautiful rhododendron, Bamboo and pine trees. Along the trail you will past several mountains village to arrive Chandan Bari Sing Gompa and visit cheese factory in the langtang region of Nepal, where you will overnight today.
Day 11: Trek from Chandan Bari Sing Gompa to Gosaikunda (4360m)
After morning breakfast in Chandan Bari sing Gompa the trail slightly goes uphill to Gosaikunda via Lauribinayak. Along the trails past rhododendron and pine forest trees and vista of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, and Manaslu range, Hiunchuli and Tibetan peak is high lights of the adventure, you trek towards Gosaikunda (4,361m) and overnight here.
Day 12: Trek from Gosaikunda to Sing Gompa (3250m)
After morning quick trips around Gosaikunda lakes, breakfast and trek downhill to Sing Gompa via Lauribinayak. Along the trail past rhododendron and pine forest trees and vista of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, and Manaslu range, Hiunchuli and Tibetan peak and overnight here.
Day 13: Trek from Sing Gompa to Dhunche (2090m)
Morning breakfast in Chandan Bari Sing Gompa, trail directly drops you to downhill to Dhunche via small village of Ramche and other village along the route. Today your journey will be more enjoyable and beautiful, walking through rhododendron, pine trees and Himalayan Bamboo. Finally arrive in Dhunche and celebrate your last night accommodation with your adventure staff.
Day 14: Drive from Dhunche to Kathmandu 6 to 7 hours.
Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu and transfer your hotel, spare time for your family shopping evening celebrate farewell dinner with Nepali Family.
Day 15: Departure for your onwards flight.
