Bhairav Kunda Trek situated holy lake named after the angry and harsh incarnated form of lord Shiva. Lord Bhairav has a very distinctive appearance wearing garland of skulls. Bhiarav kunda lies in the northwest of Kathmandu valley just after Panch pokhari lying adjacent to Nepal Tibet border. Jalbire which falls on Araniko highway is the starting point of our trek which is just five hours drive from Kathmandu valley. On Jalbire our guide will give description on our trekking trial, altitude sickness and highlights of the trek. Some of the highlight of this trek includes the sacred Bhairav Kund, awe inspiring scenic beauty of Himalaya and lifestyle of the ethnic people. Our whole trial winds around old trade route of Tibet and Nepal which covers small villages with settlement of Gurungs, Magars and Newars as majorities, dense forests and meadows.
The top of the Bhairav kunda bless us with the spectacular cview of Dorje Lakpa, Rolwaling Range and Jugal himal range along with the mountains of Tibet side. Last but not the least the rare climatic and topographical condition makes this destination a must visit.
