Pikey Trek

Pikey  Trek, situated in Everest region of Nepal. Pikey Hill (4,065 m) is one of non touristic Eco trekking route in Nepal. Pikey Trek offers you breathtaking sunrise and sunset views during good weather. The trail passes through some of the most beautiful Sherpa’s unique settlements of lower Everest region. The trail starts at Bandar and passes through Goli village, Taklung Pikey peak, Lamajura, Junubeshi and ends at Bandar. Pikey is named from Sherpa clan deity. It is a good time to take a trip to Pikey during the month of July; local people hold celebrations to worship their clan god, the eastern Chyabo Pikey, as Pikey Hlapchen Karbu. There are other interesting possibilities of undertaking tourism activities at Pikey such as paragliding, mountain biking, bird watching, pilgrimage and meditation. The Pikey Danda is most popular for its sunrise and sunset views and one can enjoy the magnificent sight of the peaks beyond the Kathmandu Valley to the plains along with the Himalayan range of Mt. Everest, Makalu and Rolwanling

Day 01:   Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1345meters)

Arrive at Kathmandu airport (1345meters) transferred to hotel, Evening free and overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02:   Fly from Kathmandu to Phaplu 2470m and trek to Salleri 2390m- 5 Hours.

You take a flight to Phaplu which is about 30 minutes and trek to Salleri. You see the local market in Salleri and enjoy a visit to local monasteries such as Chewang monastery. Stay overnight at home-stay/lodge.

Day 03:   Trek from Ghunsa to Pattale 2840m via Kerung- 7 Hours.

On the way, you can experience the Tamangs, Magars and Sherpas culture. Not only this, we can also enjoy the views of beautiful sceneries of mountains and landscapes and you will visit monasteries, mani walls and Buddhist stupa at Kerung. . Stay overnight at home-stay/lodge.

Day 04:  Trek from Pattale to Jhapre 2820m-6 Hours

You will see wild orchids on the way. Here you will view beautiful landscapes along the Solu Okhaldhunga border. There are monasteries and Buddhist stupa in Jhapre. The cultural show performed here is attraction of watching. Stay overnight at home-stay/lodge.

Day 05:   Trek from Jhapre to Pikey peak 4065m- 6 Hours

Today, you experience high altitude vegetation and can see Himalaya floras and faunas. you find centuries old monasteries, Buddhist stupas and mani stones. The yak herding can be seen at different places. you are accompanied by unique landscapes and sceneries. This particular area is feasible for marathon and mountain bike race. Stay overnight at home-stay/lodge.

Day 06:   Trek from Pikey to Junbesi 2700m- 5 Hours

The trail goes from Pikey to Junbesi via Pikey peak. While trekking up to Pikey peak you can see sunrise view and mountain peaks from Kanchenjunga to Dhaulagiri including Everest. After you cross Pikey peak you walk down through unique landscape to Junbesi valley. Stay overnight at home-stay/lodge.

Day 07:   Trek from Junbesi to Phaplu 2470m- 6 Hours

Today, you walk down to Phaplu which takes about 6 hours. The trail is gently downhill along the small stream and can enjoy delicious local food and participate in farewell to our staffs. Stay overnight at home-stay/lodge.

Day 08:    Fly from Phaplu to Kathmandu 35 minutes

Fly from Phaplu to Kathmandu which takes about 35 minutes and our car waiting to you and transfer to hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 09:   Hotel to Intl airport

Transfer to international airport for your final flight departure.
