Rolwaling Trek

The Rolwaling valley lies to the east of Kathmandu and west of Khumbu, below Mt. Gauri Shankar (7145 m), south of Tibetan border. The trail starts from Barhabise, a small trading town of Sindupalchowk and then leads up along the Tama Koshi river bank under the shadow of Mt. Gauri Shankar to Bhote Koshi River. Great views of Mt. Melungtse (7181 m) Mt. Dorje Lakpa and Mt. Tashi Lapcha are visible when you proceed further through the village of Beding (3690 m) with its monastery. After two days rugged glacier walking you reach to Tashi Lapcha Pass (5755 m). Crossing the Pass the trail descends to Thame village, Tenzing Norgay's hometown in the Khumbu valley. The Rolwaling trek is one of the most difficult treks in Nepal and requires technical climbing experience and a well- equipped and experienced staff is demanding for Rolwaling Trekking.

Day to Day Itinerary
Day 01: From Tribhuban International Airport you will be transferred to your hotel room. In the afternoon we will invite you to our office for briefing about the each day program.
Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Dolakha(1,660m) via Lamosangu and Charikot.
Day 03: Drive for three hours to Shigati(950m) via Piguti. The trail passes through villages of different community.
Day 04: Trek for seven hours to Jagat(1,440m). This is small village where the people of different ethnicity live.
Day 05: Passing the village of Sherpa people trek continuously for seven and half hours to Simigaon(2020m).
Day 06: Trek uphill for seven and half hours to Daldung(3,976m).
Day 07: In this uphill trek you will cross the beautiful Rhododendron forests, deep gorge and suspension bridge. Walk continuously for seven and half hours to Beding(3,690m). it is big Sherpa village.
Day 08: Today we acclimatize in Beding. You can explore the surrounding area. The captivating vista of Mt Gauri Shankar leaves you speechless.
Day 09: Watching the panoramic vista of mountains, exploring the upper slopes of the valley for Snow Partridge and observing the beautiful Sherpa village we trek for about four hours to Na (4,180m).
Day 10: We acclimatize at Na as a preparation for Ramdung Go (5,930m). From here we can see mountains like Gauri Shankar, Menlung, Yalung along with the mountains in Tibetan border.
Day 11: Walking through the flat and gradually ascending path we will trek to Tso Rolpa(4,540m).
Day 12: Start walking early in the morning through the glaciers will be able to experience the true natural beauty. Trek up to Trakarding glacier (4,800m).
Day 13: Trek through the ascending trial up to Tashi Lapcha Phedi Camp (5,755m).
Day 14: Ascend to Tashi Lapcha Pass through Tashi cape. Spend the overnight here.
Day 15: Walking through the glacier the trail descends down to Thyombo(4,350m).
Day 16: Climb downhill from early in the morning to Thame(3,820m).
Day 17: The trial descends gradually to Sanasa(3,550m). Watching the majestic vista of Himalaya like Mt Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Kusum Kangaru we will trek up to Namche Bazaar (3,440m).
Day 18: Trek for about six hours for Lukla(2,886m) via Monjo.
Day 19: Fly back to Kathmandu.
Day 20: Departure for your onward flight.
