Restricted Area Trek

Restricted area trekking, there are many places in Nepal in which the foreigners are not allowed to enter. These areas are known as Restricted areas. These places are either closed or require a special permit to enter there. The permits are given by the authorized persons and you have to pay for it. Whenever you trek you have to carry permit with you. The main reasons these area are restricted is due to the environmental concern. Many NGOS which are working on environment are pressuring the government to close such areas. It is done to protect and conserve the flora and fauna available in this place.
The other reason is security. Since these places are very remote and tourist require some assistance which our government can’t provide. Political insurgency also plays an important factor for restricting certain areas
Upper Mustang (Lo Manthang) Trek
Upper mustang Trekking is a remote Trans Himalayan mountain region. This region is influenced by Tibetan culture. From Kaligandaki to south of Tibetan border Kagbeni is usually referred as an upper mustang region. This region is highly deserted.
