The Karo Ruins

This site is located at 12 km from the south of Chamdo town at an altitude of 3,200m. These ruins which comprises of house architecture, stone paved roads, stone built walls, cave dwellings and many different objects made up of stones go back to four to five thousand years. Archeologists have discovered that these objects are from Neolithic era. This discovery upgrades our knowledge of human civilization and provides us chance to know about process of migration and trade between peoples of north west and south west in that particular era.
