Lhosar Dinner Ball on February 23
As a part of celebrating Lhosar – the New Year festival of different indigenous communities in the country, Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) is organizing ‘Lhosar Dinner Ball-2013’ at Hotel Yak and Yeti, Durbarmarg on February 23.
Tourist arrivals rise 9.8 percent in 2012
Tourist arrivals to Nepal via air in 2012 increased by 9.8 percent, compared to arrivals figures of 2011. The year 2011, which was observed as Nepal Tourism Year (NTY), had posted 21.4 percent growth in the number of tourists.
TIMS cards issuance up 5.46% in 2012
The number of foreign trekkers taking Trekkers Information Management System (TIMS) cards from Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) in 2012 increased by 5.46 percent compared to figures of 2011.
Trekking guide training underway at NATHM
A four-week trekking guide training is currently underway at Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM). The training is being organized jointly by Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) and NATHM.
