Mani Rimdu festival trek is the biggest annual festival celebrated by Sherpa people. Mani Rimdu festival falls on the full month of Tibetan ninety month. The three day celebration starts with blowing of horns in the afternoon of first day. Then the chief lamas along with other monks start to chant prayers which are dedicated to patron deities. This festival is celebrated to get blessing for good of all humankind. The festival of Mani Rimdu is believed start from 1930s in Tengboche monasteries in Khumbu region. Mani Rimdu festival trek is originated from Rongbuk monastery in Tibet.
Mani Rimdu is the festival in which the monks put masks representing divinely personas and perform ritual dance. Mani Rimdu festive period also occurs with the end of work at the end of harvesting season. Enjoy the most scenic 30minutes flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. As you reach Lukla start the Everest Base Camp Trek to Phakding via Chaurikharka and Chheplung. Overnight at Phakding (2640m).
Early in the morning after having breakfast trek to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar(3435m) via Jorsale. From Namche we can see the first glance of Everest.
Today we will acclimatize at Namche Bazaar. Today we may rest or hike through the village of Khunde and Khumjung. Khumjung is the largest village of Khumbu region. After having lunch we will hike back to Namche Bazaar.
Trek to Tengboche (3890m) via Sanasa and Fungethaga. We will have our lunch at the edge of Dudhkoshi River. From Tengboche we can see the captivating vista of Gokyo Ri, Amadablam, Thamserku and Island Peak. Tengboche is known for the highest monastery in the world.
Trek to phading. which require 5 to 6 hours
Trek to Lukla. which require 4 to 5 hours
Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu.

Yes, you can get it in Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. As you arrive to airport fill the form and proceed to the visa line. You have to pay 25US$ for 15 days of visa from the day of issue, 40US$ for 30days and 100US$ for 90 days of tourist visa. For this you have to bring two passport size photos.
There are enough airline companies operating daily flights from Middle East of Kathmandu. Kathmandu only has got only international airport in Nepal.
