At route of trek there appears suddenly a great glacial cirque appears into view. A marvelous wall created by Cheo Himal, Himlung Himal, Nemjung, Gyaji Kang and Kang Guru, casts down a stream of glaciers, while Annapurna II rises ahead.

Day 1:   Kathmandu to Soti Khola (Drive)(700 m), 7hrs Arrival at Kathmandu Airport Kathmandu to Arughat from Gongabu Bus Park Overnight at one of the teahouse in Soti Khola

Day 6:   Namrung to Lho(2957 m) 4 hrs Witnessing the lifestyles of Nubri people Exploring their Tibet-influenced typical lifestyle Form the Lho, you can catch the stunning views of Manaslu (8163m) and Manaslu North (7157m)

Day 7:   Lho to Sama Gaun(3530 m), 4 hrs Picturesque view of Mt. Day 10:   Acclimatization Day : Side Trip to Tibetan Border(5100 m), 8 hrs You will stop at Samdo where you will go for a day trip to the Tibetan border Witness the Yak caravan passing the border

Day 11:  Samdo to Dharmasala(4460 m) 4 hrs Adventurous day in the high altitude Enjoying the scenic views of the chain of Himalayas Walk slowly across the rugged terrains of Manaslu region before you reach Dharmasala.Views at Dharmasala are marvelous.

Day 12:    Dharamasala – Larkye La Pass - Bimthang(3590 m), 10 hrs You will walk to Larkya La Pass (5160m): highest point of the trail, on this day In bad weather and in the snow, the walk could be quite challenging Challenging part of the trek can be succeed if you walk steadily You will catch views of Himlung (7126m) near Tibet and Kang Guru (6981m) and Annapurna II (7937m) in the Annapurna Range You will walk down fro around 3 hours towards Bimthang for an overnight stay

Day 13:   Bimthang to Tal(1700 m) 9 hrs Final day of trek On climbing downhill, you will walk through the lush forests full of flora and fauna including rhododendron bushes. Walking back across the Dudh Khola Karche for lunch The trail drops to Gurung Goa, the first real village since Samdo Reach Tilije From there, you will continue your stroll towards Dharapani and continue to Tal

Day 14:   Tal to Kathmandu(1300 m), 10 hrs If you feel extreme tiredness, you can take a jeep from Tilje to Besi Sahar Ride back to Kathmandu After the 7-8 hours drive, you will get to rest in one of the sophisticated hotels in Kathmandu manaslu trek.

Accommodations Tea House/Lodge

Manaslu is a popular tea house trek. You will sleep in the tea house every night which will very basic with two single beds. Toilets are mostly shared and can be outside of tea houses. Heating is only available in the dinning area. Verity of foods are available in tea houses. You can stop in tea houses for lunch during the trek.

The cost of accommodation varies depending on the season you trek and the altitude you want to stay during the trek. The cost of accommodation ranges from the US $7-$10 in peak seasons in lower altitudes while accommodation charge increases to around the  at higher altitude.

Trekking permits

Government of Nepal has declared the Manaslu Region a restricted area to control tourism in the region. Due independent trekkers are not allowed in Manaslu and trekkers are subject to obtaining a special entry permit. The government rules also state there must be a minimum of two trekkers in a group, accompanied by a local guide. Additionally, your permit must be processed through a registered agency. Self-employed guides cannot issue the necessary permits for the Manaslu Circuit.

Guide/Porter arrangement

Nepal’s Government policies require some of the trekking areas to have a restricted permit in Nepal, compulsory trekking staff either with a guide or a porter especially if the trekking area is an open border or has a connection with another country such as Tibet or India. Nepal immigration law requires to having at least one government authorized person with a tourist during their visit in such a restricted area. Manaslu trek permit also requires to follow immigration law. Regarding the Manaslu trek difficulty, it is considered as a moderate trek. Therefore, hiring a porter in Manaslu trek completely depends on you and how physically capable you are to trek.
