What is Tea House / Lodge Trek?

Tea house trekking is also known as lodge trek. It is comparatively cheaper where meals and accommodation are provided. Here meal depends upon the menu of teahouse which is usually simple and which is basically consumed by the local people living there. Usually the teahouses in hilly and mountains region are reasonably comfortable and clean but exceptions are always there. This is the great way of connecting with local people and gets to know their culture. The standard of lodging may range from a hotel look alike to very rustic one. Trek is guided by an English speaking local guide and all main baggage is carried by porters, yaks or donkeys.
