Trekking in Bhutan is completely different experience in comparison to others. The trial passes through alpine meadows providing habitat for wide range of flora and fauna, dense Rhododendron forests, foothills of snow capped Himalayas and crystal clear lakes. The trek in this beautiful kingdom of Bhutan comprises of short 3 day walks over the lower elevation and 21 days long trek in the higher elevation that lead us to the highest passes in this region. This trek grants us an exceptional opportunity to get along with the local Bhutanese people and get to know their lifestyle. Bumthang which literally means beautiful field comprises of four mountains; Ura, Chumey, Tang and Choekhor which as a wholly is referred as Bumthang valley. Bumthang trek is one of the civilizing trek that take us to the remote villages, least explored heritage sites situated at the basin of Bumthang. The trial winds around Choekhor and Tang basin in some of the remote villages in the Bumthang , historical temples and even the mansion of Ugencholing.
Despite the fact that the trek is pretty easy and short, there is one day of a long uphill and downhill climb which ultimately leads us to Phephe La (3,340m). At the same time there is no major elevation gain comparing to other treks and finally we will halt that day trek at an elevation of 3,000m. This 3 day trek to Bumthang is ideal as is offers extravagant landscape and offers an outstanding chance to know and understand Bhutanese rural life.
