Shortest Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Annapurna mini trek

Nepal

16th Mar, 2022

On the trek: I had an amazing experience. I didn't have much free time, so I chose the mini trek. It is very short and easy, but I could see some beautiful views of the Annapurna range. I would recommend it for people with little trekking experience as an introductory "course" into Himalaya. The only downside of it is that leaves you wanting for more. I wish I had time for a longer trip. Hopefully, next time.On traveling solo:

I am a female traveling on my own. I was a bit concerned about safety, but those concerns never materialized. I also saw a few other women traveling alone with guides. Choose a reputable company such as Adventure Nepal Eco Treks, use common sense and you should be fine.

On Adventure Nepal Eco Treks:

Devi and Kumar were wonderful hosts. I arrived early in Kathmandu and Devi Baral organized a car and a guide for me to show me around the city at no extra charge. I really appreciated that opportunity as Kathmandu has some beautiful sights. I spent 3 full days trekking with Kumar and he was just awesome. He made me feel very comfortable and was just a fun companion. He attended to my every need and even took silly pictures of me at my request.

Definitely recommend Adventure Nepal Eco Treks and definitely will be a return customer myself!

We planned for this trip a year ago and was trying to google for a reliable agent. His email respond was prompt and complete which is why we chose Adventure Nepal Eco Treks over many others. As we were unfamiliar with the culture and environment, we had many questions. But kudos to Devi, he never hesitated to answer and clarified all our questions.

We had one of the most memorable trip and just catching a glimpse of the mighty Sagarmartha was an unforgettable experience. The expedition went very smoothly as per planned, aided by our experienced and friendly guide Kumar. From the start, he has been very helpful, always keeps a look out for us and ensure our stay is as comfortable as possible. He takes great photos as well and is a warm and funny guy. We thoroughly enjoyed his companionship and he must be one of the best guides here.

It was a very well-organized trip and we were even given the flexibility to customize it based on our needs. Thanks to our host Devi for his warm hospitality and dinner treat where we had a chance to sample his wife’s delicious home-cooked meal. The only regret I had was that our trip was too short. If we had another 1-2 days extra, we might have had the chance to trek all the way to Tengboche to visit the monastery.

But overall I would rate it a very successful and excellent trip. I’m glad that we had made the right choice and chosen Adventure Nepal Eco Treks. Thank you for the wonderful experience! See you again for ABC or Annapurna base camp Trek.

We struck gold when we chose Adventure Nepal Eco Treks. After much searching for a trekking company we went with Adventure Nepal Eco Treks based on the response to our questions and for giving us the most for our money. Disaster hit when out luggage was delayed for three days due to weather. Instead of canceling our trek Devi Baral figured out a way to equip us with enough to get on the trail, picked up our luggage repacked it and sent a porter out to meet us on the trail. We had a great time and much of that was due to our guide Prabahit Rai who was everything you could ask for a guide. He clearly cared about our comfort and happiness and did everything he could to make out trip more enjoyable including teaching us a traditional game of Gods and Tigers along the way.

Following on from my trekking partner Cynthia's comments (written on 5th May), I couldn't agree more. The experience was amazing and truly memorable. Adventure Nepal Eco Treks surprised us with their professionalism all the way. From the first day when we went on a tour of Kathmandu up to the very last day when we extended our stay by 6 days to do our own thing and they still arranged for our airport transportation on our last day in Nepal. This was unexpected since it was our choice to extend our trip but they honored their commitment in providing airport drop off. This just showed us how professional and caring they were as a company. Not to mention how our guide Kumar and porter Kurand made us feel welcomed in their country and looked after us to ensure we have an amazing time in Nepal.

From the 10 day programme, we actually trekked for 6-7 days of it, but I can assure you the other days were needed for our well deserved rest! The trek itself was challenging and great for anyone who wants to experience just a fraction of the intensity of doing an Everest Base Camp or Summit. The views were breathtaking and seeing the Everest mountain regions so close up was one of the highlights of the trip. This trek goes up to 3,890m (Tengboche) which can be tough due to the altitude, but as long as you take your time and climb up very, very, very slowly then it is achievable for most healthy average person. But I think the best part of the trip was the people of Nepal, who were truly humble and kind...something the western world can learn from!

Overall, I highly recommend Adventure Nepal Eco Treks and wouldn't hesitate to go with them again if I ever came back to Nepal. Thank you guys!!!

“The most scenic Everest trek ever with the most reliable trekking agent.”

Nepal, the country that we had been hoping to visit since many years ago. A mystical country to us and many of other people. We had our travel plan studied a year before we come into decision for flight ticket purchasing. We were lucky that AirAsia finally launched is Nepal route from Malaysia with promotion fare. We were 4 of us traveling from Penang Island (Malaysia). We bought our flight ticket with low cost airline AirAsia somewhere in Sept 2012 with flying route of PEN-KUL-KTM-KUL-PEN.

PEN-KUL-PEN was with AirAsia and KUL-KTM-KUL was with AirAsiaX and at the same time we contacted Mr. Devi Baral the Managing Director from ANET via email about the trekking trip for Everest Mini Trek. His spontaneous email response with good English writing gave us very good impression about the reliability of this company. We were having close in touch with him through email until our departure date of 27 Apr 2013. Throughout the email responses, Devi Baral did an excellent job by replying our inquiries with detail which are very helpful for us as the first timer to visit Nepal. From his email replying which had built up our confident level to visit our inaugural Himalayan country and showing the good personality of himself as Nepalese. They are friendly and helpful people.

On 27 Apr 2013, our flight departed on time from Penang to KL-LCCT then again to Kathmandu. We were then pick up from Devi's arranged transport and safely arrived in Hotel Access Nepal. Room was OK with clean toilet, WIFI signal is only good in lobby. Breakfast from this hotel was ok, importantly the service was excellent and helpful waiters. Electricity in Nepal is expensive, therefore, this hotel practices cost saving by resuming its power starting from 4:30pm local time daily which we understand from the hotel staff. No big deal as Apr/May still a cool month in Kathmandu. Hot water was running fine in this hotel as well.

Thamel, the place where this Hotel Access Nepal located was excellent. You may shop till you drop and eat till you bloat. Devi met us up at hotel lobby that evening and we were brought to Himali restaurant for our dinner which was serving very tasty Nepalese food called "Dal Bhat" Literally, "Dal" means lentils and "Bhat" means rice in Nepalese language. It's not just purely the lentils with plain rice but with some delicious side dishes such as chicken curry & other vegetables as well. Himali restaurant is just about 150m walking distance from Hotel Access Nepal. Right after walking out from the main gate of the hotel walked straight until seeing the huge Coco-cola signboard then turn left into the the narrow alley which selling lots of beanie.

After the dinner, we were then brought to Devi's office for trekking permit registration as well as full payments. Thanks for the shirt as well as the complimentary Everest Map. Thereafter, we were then back to the room to relax, met up Devi again before our bedtime. We were introduced by him our trekking guide Mr. Kumar Khadka. That evening, both Devi & Kumar were brief us on our trekking trip.

On 28 Apr 2013, we were departed from Kathmandu domestic airport as per plan to Lukla with Tara Air AKE twin otter. Flight journey took us about 25mins along the scenic Himalayan mountainous view from the left side of the aircraft. We were lucky to have a clear morning to fly and safely landed at one of the world deadliest Lukla Tenzing-Hillary Airport with 2,850m asl. From there we started our trek all the way to Benkar. Then we overnight in Benkar at Waterfall Hotel overlooking Tamserku snowy mountain.

Kumar our trekking guide was very considerate and booked us the top floor of twin bedroom. The room is clean and beautiful Tamserku peak just directly view from our window. That starry night sky was so clear with moonlight shined into our bedroom. Trekking journey continue the next morning all the way to Namche Bazaar @ 3,440m asl. and we remained in Namche Bazaar for 2 nights. Again, Kumar booked us the top floor twin bedroom with scenic view overlooking Kongde peak. Between the days in Namche Bazaar we did a day trek to Everest Hotel at Syangboche also the small little Namche Bazaar monastery. Trek to Syangboche is a MUST do trek which we were stunt with the world highest peak of Everest, Lhotse & Amadablam. We were speechless with the beauty of mother earth when we were there.

After 2 days in Namche Bazaar, we started our descend back in Benkar where we stayed for the 1st night of trek. Then the following day we continued the final trek back in Lukla and spent our last night of trek there. Day after, we caught our flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla. Upon arriving in Lukla, we were back in Hotel Access Nepal for the final night before heading back to Malaysia. Final day we did a few places sightseeing such as Pashupatinath, Swayambunath (Monkey Temple) & Kathmandu Durbar Square.

On the final night, we were glad being invited by Mr. Devi for his generosity to dine with his family & relatives at home. Although it was just the 1st time we had dinner with them, but the excellent hospitality just made us felt that we had been known each other for decade. That's the precious moment that money can't buy.

Although it was a budget trip throughout the trekking journey, the trekking guide Kumar just made us felt that we were being treated as friend rather than client. Lots of chats & fun which made the strenuous trek a rewarded & easy one. We really appreciate from our heart. Without him our trekking trip probably may not be the happiest one. A million thanks to Kumar for his guidance. Also, not to forget the 2 jovial and fun porters from Lukla.

We would described Devi as a very well organized and knowledgeable person in term of trekking trip planning. He has jovial and friendly personality.

For our trekking guide Kumar Khadka, he is the best ever trekking guide we ever experienced throughout our 10+ years non-stop travelling experiences. He's honest, caring, jovial and helpful person. Along the trekking trip he has find many ways helped us to save lot of unnecessary expenses. With his trekking experience, we learn a lot from him about mountain life.

We are now looking forward to join his next adventure to Annapurna Base Camp in near future!! Counting down for the next trip with them. :)

The reason why I chose to go to Nepal with Adventure Nepal Eco Treks out of the hundreds of trekking companies in Nepal was that this company had received nothing but excellent reviews on trip advisor. And now, having just come back from my trek to Tengboche with this company, I understand why. I really could not have asked for a more positive experience. From the very beginning stages of trying to arrange the trip via email/phone in Dubai to the drop off at the airport for our flight home we felt very well cared for. The logistics for the trek went off without a hitch, with nice clean places to stay and eat, competent people to assist us and transport arranged in a timely manner. But my favorite part of my experience with ANET were the people we met. Devi, our guide Kumar and our porter Koran really made us feel like a part of the Nepali family. The warmth, friendship and laughter they shared with us I will cherish forever. If (or hopefully when) I do return to Nepal, I would definitely go again with ANET. Again, a big thank you to all the hardworking people at ANET who made our trip so memorable!

“Excellent trek, great organization, superb guide”April 2013

Nepal

16th Mar, 2022

My wife and I came back from our Annapurna Base Camp trek two weeks ago. We had wonderful time for all of our 14 days we spent there. We went on this trip by ourselves and we organized a trek through Adventure Nepal Eco Trek agency. We contacted couple of the agencies, but Devi's (company owner) responses were the most prompt and professional. He was also extremely flexible, as we made some major changes in our plans at the very last moment. During our stay in Nepal, Devi organized for us a guide (the best one), a porter, hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara and flight and cat to the start of our trek. Devi was waiting for us at the airport, late at night, and invited us to the dinner with his family in his home... We specially want to highlight the excellence of our guide, Kumar Basnet, and our porter, Ramesh. During our trek we had the opportunity to see many guides, but we found that our guide, Kumar Basnet was exceptional compared to all the others guides we have seen. Kumar is kind but very professional, exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly, and he certainly made our trip so memorable. He is no doubt the great representative of the agency he is working for. If you are planning to go to Nepal, we strongly suggest you to ask for Kumar Basnet as a guide.

All in all, we are extremely satisfied with the service of Adventure Nepal Eco Treks. Recommended.

“Superb trek, excellent service” 2013 April

Nepal

16th Mar, 2022

I returned last night from a six day trek through the Annapurna region with Adventure Nepal Eco Treks. I had to arrange the trip at very short notice and Devi could not have been more helpful. He even offered to collect me from my apartment in Kathmandu and did everything to make things nice and easy. His trekking company really does deserve its perfect feedback rating. During the trek itself, my guide - Kumar Basnet - was invaluable. A lovely guy, very knowledgeable, unassuming, always ready to help. In all a wonderful experience and a great way to free the mind (if only for a week).

I strongly recommend Devi and its company Adventure Nepal Eco Treks to organize your trekking, and more broadly your stay in Nepal.I chose this company based on the fast, efficient and accurate email exchange I had with the owner, Devi Baral. Devi replied promptly and clearly too all my questions and comments. The price of the stay was also very competitive.

Just completed 9 days of solid trekking with my husband, friend and adult daughter. Devi was truly professional from my initial enquiries many months ago answering emails promptly no matter how simple the question. The true value was in our guide Kumar who was patient beyond expectation ( my friend had a bad back) , informative and entertaining ( regular card game each evening) and was responsive to the very different needs of those in our group. We had the rooms with the best views in every tea house as Kumar would phone ahead or send our young, energetic and enthusiastic porters Ramesh and Bidour. I would recommend that 10 or 11 days of actual trekking for this route would enable the return to be better paced as well as giving some flexibility for changes in weather which is the uncontrollable. Truly value for money- and it was not a lot of money by any measure

I found Devi and his company Adventure Nepal Eco Treks while I was already in Nepal one day as I was emailing countless number of company's expressing my interest to go trekking. Devi's reply was quick, professional and not pushy like I found most other replies to be...also the English was a very good standard compared to most of the other replies. Fm the reply, I had a good vibe and knew this was the right company to go with. I visited him in his office, and a week later I was in a plane flying to Lukla with my dad and our guide Kumar, ready to go to Everest base camp.

Kumar was an amazing guide, very knowledgable of the area and everything around us. At night, we would chat, play cards, have fun and just enjoy each and everyone's company. Along with our porter, they would take care of everything, meaning that the only thing my dad and I had to worry about was ourselves and getting through each day!

I would defiantly recommended Devi to anyone wanting to go trekking as he took care of everything and made everything easy to organise. I know if I ever come back to Nepal I will go back to adventure Nepal eco treks!

Had a great time in Nepal. Thanks to Devi's organization skills! Everything was sorted out quickly and tailored to our needs. The prices were very reasonable and the guides are very professional. It was so good it makes us want to come back to Nepal again and do other treks! Our guide prabahit was very professional and was very nice to us, I was wearing the wrong trekking gear and he offered his to me so I can be comfortable throughout the trek :)

Devi offers pick up and drop off services to airport which is very helpful when arriving in a foreign country, this is one of the reasons why we choose this company and the whole trip was better than expected!!

Last night in Kathmandu Devi offered to take us out to dinner which was great sharing our stories with him and giving him feedbacks, of course all good ones!

Will definitely recommend it to everyone and you won’t be disappointed
