Panch Pokhari Trekking named after the five holy lake situated at the height of 4,100m in the northwest of Kathmandu lying adjacent to Tibet border. The route encompasses beautiful mountains, terraced slopes, village settled by people of diverse range of ethnic group like Tamangs, Newars, Sherpas, Brahmins, Chettris and Gurungs.
This sacred lake placed in the lap of Jugal Himal offers the spectacular Mountain View, culturally rich villages and thrilling adventure. This place is visited by religious pilgrims during the festival of Janaipurnima which occurs during the month of August. This pilgrim destination is visited not only by Hindus but also by Buddhists.
Our trek to this sacred place kick starts from Chautara (1,450m) the districts headquarter of Sindhupalchowk district. Trekking to Panchpokhari is new trekking trial and most part of trial is free from Human settlement. The rare climatic condition and different topographic condition makes this place a must visit.
On the first day of our trek we will follow the culturally rich villages, mind blowing scenic beauty watching the awe inspiring mountain vista. We too will get a chance to experience true rural life and our guide will give information about trekking, altitude sickness and highlights of the trek.
Panch pokhari itself offers the spectacular panorama of Jugal Himal range, Rolwaling range, Gosainkunda etc. Extravagant Mountain View, pristine nature and distinct dynamic culture adds spices to this holy destination.
We will meet you at the Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to hotel, had time for rest up after your long flight,wewill be invited to visit our office for a briefing aboutyour journey.after that we will check your equipment and make easy the processing of other necessary things such as Annapurna National Park Permits and TIMS (Trekking information management system)
We will explore the Hindu temple at Pashupatinath (World Heritage site) & the biggest BuddhistStupa at Boudhanath.We will explore Swyambhunath,also known as the Monkey Temple, Evening meeting with your trekking guide,get ready for trekking.
Drive from Kathmandu to Chautara,it takes 5/6 hours.
Trek from Chautara to Phurse, Walking hour about 5 and half hour. We will walking through the many villages,farming terraces, some green hills and marvelous mountain views of Gaurishankar, Dorje Lakpa. the trails go quite way upto Phurse. Phurse is a pasture where people from villages bring their domestic animals for grazing and it is a small village mainly occupied by Tamang. Overnight in the Camp.
Walking hour about 5/6 hours. We will through the forest covered with Oak, Pine,rhododendron and other natural vegetation, We will walk mostly up hill till Kami Kharka,on the way we can enjoy the impressive views of Gaurishankar, Dorje Lakpa and Jugal Himal range. Overnight at Camp.
walking hour about 5/6 hours. We will walking throuth the forest which covered with rhododendron, Oak,Pine, Juniper& other natural vegetation, we will reach in Phurwa Bas which is a shelter for the local pilgrims. mostly walk up hills. Overnight at Camp.
Walking hour approximately 5/6hours. The route up to Hille Bhanjyang goes uphill passing through forests enriched with bamboo, pine, oak, rhododendron and alpine vegetation. Hille Bhanjyang is a ridge from where we will see the superb views of waterfall, river basin and village at a far distance. Overnight at Camp.
Walking hour about 4 /5and hours.we will walk uphill until we reach to Nasim Pati. in route, we encounter forests with views of Jugal Himal range, Gaurishankar, mountain deer ,Danfe, National bird of Nepal . Overnight at Camp.
Walking hour approximately 4/5 hours. The route is steeply ascent passing through Lauribinayak Pass to Panch Pokhari. On the way, we are amazed to see the alpine vegetation and rocky mountains, wild life and villages at a far distance. Panch Pokhari is the major point of the trek. Five lakes are called PanchPokhari in Nepali. There are interesting festivals in August called Janaipurnima. Many Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimages gather here. The top of Panch Pokhari (5 lakes) offers an admirable view of Jugal Himal range, Rolwaling range, Gosainkunda Overnight at Camp.
Warking hours approximately 3/4hours. While trekking back move through steeply descent path passing Lauribinayak Pass. The forests we encounter are quite rich in alpine vegetation. Overnight at Camp.
Walking hour approximately about 5/6 hours.The trail goes down passing through forests covered with bamboos, rhododendron, pine, oak, juniper and other natural vegetation.We will see Himalayan deer, white monkey and many others if we are lucky. Before we reach Dukhang, we come across chortens , prayer flags fluttering in the breeze. Dukhang is a tiny village mainly occupied by Tamang, Sherpa people. Overnight at Camp.
Walking hour approximately about 5/6 hours. After crossing Dukhang, we follow the descent path to reach Dhap. We walk along the bank of Indrawati river with wonderful views of farming terraces, human settlements, green hills and different activities of local people Overnight at Camp.
Walking hour approximately about 5/6 hours. The trail goes along the Indrawati River passing through different villages, farming terraces, hydro electricity project on the way to Tipini and vehicles carrying passengers and goods. Overnight guest house.
Drive to Kathmandu which takes about five hours.
