Best time to plan Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek

The fantastic landscapes, snow-covered mountains, vivid rhododendron and juniper forests, and the utmost Spring and Autumn visibility can be ideal for a luxury Everest Base Camp Trek.

The mild weather conditions, rain-free days, and more extended daylight of 12 hours make the trekking doable all day, especially while returning.

The temperature at Everest Base Camp averages around -5 degrees during Spring and Autumn nights. However, the daytime temperature can be somewhere around 14-15 degrees. Furthermore, the wind also remains gentle.

Winter days are also best for trekking to Everest, but the nights can be freezing and painful. The temperature can lower to -20 at the base camp during the winter days. But, if you can tolerate some cold, a luxury trek to Everest Base Camp in winter can be best for you.

We don't recommend you plan this trek in summer because it rains frequently. Also, the flights to Lukla barely operate on rainy days. Furthermore, the clouds and fog cover the entire landscape, making it not a wise time to hike.

Private and group joining trips

Adventure Nepal Eco Treks offers private and Group joining Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek. We also let you chop out the itinerary and submit your preference for a hike.

Since the Everest Base Camp Luxury Lodge trek is one of the finest EBC Trek, hiking here with loved ones or in a group of close people would be best. Private trips like honeymoon couples, families with kids and senior citizens are among our best sellers.

Moreover, Group joining Everest Base Camp Luxury Lodge Trek is also available for independent trekkers looking for luxury Everest Trek.

We usually operate in moderate-size groups with trek guides and porters. But, if you have small or large groups, we can handle it with multiple trek guides and porters.

Trek Travel Insurance

We recommend you carry a valid insurance policy that covers the helicopter evacuation cost of up to 6,000 meters. With a travel insurance policy, you'll get every available safety priority during the luxury trek to Everest Base Camp.

We encourage you to bring a travel insurance policy on the trek. Also, please provide us with your policy details so we can arrange the helicopters for emergencies and other purposes.

Luggage and weight limit

We recommend you bring your backpack of at most 15 kg.

On Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek, two trekkers in a group will get a porter who carries the backpack. The maximum backpack weight you'd assign a porter combined with two is, at most, 16 kg. An individual can only give no more than 9 kg. If your weight exceeds the limit, you need to hire a trekking porter costing USD 25 daily.

Moreover, you'll fly to Lukla to start this trek. The airlines that fly to Lukla allow a 15kg backpack for each passenger. And for every additional weight, the airlines may charge USD 1-2.

To lower the backpacking weight, we urge you to carry only a limited number of gear and other essentials.

Trek difficulty and preparations

The luxury trek to Everest Base Camp is a moderate to strenuous grade trek. Till Dingboche, the hike remains relatively mild. But, past Dingboche, the hiking becomes tiring and laborious due to the more rugged terrain and high altitude.

You may experience high altitude sickness while hiking on Khumbu Glacier Lateral Moraines. Also, those with experience walking on this rugged terrain will have challenging hikes, especially from Lobuche to Gorak Shep. But, the luxury accommodation and meals provide much-needed rest and energy.

Trek preparations are crucial for Everest Trek. Cardio, physical fitness, endurance, and others are handy while hiking. Effective breathing techniques can help you a lot.

Other than these, you must also be in a proper mental state.

Trek permits

After you book the Everest Base Camp Luxury Lodge trek with Adventure Nepal Eco Treks, you'll have your permits ready from our representatives. Also, the cost of Everest trek permits is all-inclusive in the package you purchase.

Sagarmatha Conservation Area Permit and Khumbu Pasanga Rural Municipality Permit are two essential Everest Base Camp Trek Permits. While combined, these permits cost USD 50 and remain valid throughout the one time.

Adventure Nepal Eco Treks Trek Guides and Porters

A great adventure in the Everest region is possible only with highly experienced trek guides and porters.

Our field staff, trek guides and porters are invaluable assets to our every trek. Moreover, we employ trek guides on the Everest region who have been guiding on the Everest region for several years.

Furthermore, we provide trek guides based on your language preference, like Spanish, French, or Korean.

Our trek guides are Nepal Government Licensed Trekking Guides with expertise in first aid and search and rescue operations.

Respect Sherpa culture and biodiversity

The enriched Sherpa cultures, traditions, and lifestyles are among the exciting elements of the Everest trek. Furthermore, the rich biodiversity of Sagarmatha Conservation Area provides serenity to you while hiking.

These two elements make Everest Base Camp Luxury Lodge Trek a wonderful hike. The prayer flags, the Mani wheels, and Sherpa attires in Lukla, Namche, and throughout gives you the feel of traditional Sherpa villages.

While hiking, you'll see Himalayan Goats grazing on the ridges over the trails. We encourage you to take photographs of those animals instead of teasing and hurting them.

Tipping for trek guides and porters

Tipping to trek guides and porters has no standard rate. Moreover, you can tip some money to trek guides based on the service you get during the trek.

Almost all trekkers tip money at the end of the trek, especially at Lukla. However, some trekkers even tip the guides on the route whenever they feel satisfied and happy.

You should give 10% of the trek cost as a tip to trek guides and porters. Further than this, you can tip as much as you want.
